My kite boarding friends on Maui are telling me they are excited for this year’s KSP tour event. They need great winds and swell for at least 4 days to carry off the event and it looks like the weather gods may deliver. The rider’s list may be found here. For those who are going “huh?” this is a big deal in the very small kiteboarding world. This is many of the world’s best kite surfers competing for the world title and prize money. Folks who aren’t into kiting will find a quick look is enough. But, the jumping contest should be interesting to anyone watching. Yes, those kites could lift a car in the right conditions.
